Independent
Testing Laboratories originated as a soil testing laboratory under
the guidance of our founder Mr. Charles Pickett. Our firm has the
capabilities and specialized equipment to perform testing and
inspection services from Soils Engineering, design of foundation
systems, soils and rock drilling to laboratory support toward soils
stabilization and in-place densities with conventional and nuclear
test equipment. Our drilling equipment includes portable skid and
truck mounted rigs, designed to meet the most difficult of field
conditions found in the northeast United States. High torque
capacities enables us to drill through various rock formations and
special environmental situations. Soil engineers and geologists on
staff oversee all drilling and testing operations including
reporting. Special on-site and design problems are continuously
solved through the combined efforts of our field engineering and
laboratory staff. On your next project, hire the professional team
from Independent testing laboratories. |

From
laboratory design mix to site inspection of dura-wall between mortar
joints, our laboratory technicians are trained to assure all
materials used and installed are in accordance with applicable
specifications. This is accomplished by compression testing of
masonry blocks, brick, test prisms, casting of mortar cubes and
additional laboratory testing. We have pioneered the use of the
Windsor Penetrometer for in-place strength determination of masonry
joints for Board of Standards and Appeals approval in New York City.
Core drilling of all diameters is a specialty of our firm. Whether
upside down, in the water, technician cages lowered from a cherry
picker or might drilling in subway tunnels, we are the most
versatile laboratory to get your job done and on time! |
